#CANADA150 : A BEAUTIFUL PLANET - Let’s Save The Earth

Yesterday,i was invited by change.org to watch ' A Bautiful Planet ' for celebration of Canada 150th Anniversarry.
The event was held on the 20th of December 2017 in IMAX Gandaria City, Jakarta.

Wait.. What is ' A Beautiful Planet ' ?
It's a movie about our Planet Earth and most of the film was shot from space station during a recent 15-month period.

The crew captured more than just the beauty of Earth, but also some scenes that cause concern. There are aerial views of drought-stricken California, as well as visible evidence of deforestation and climate change around the globe. Those images serve the deeper theme of the film: We need to start taking better care of our planet.
The movie was produced and directed by veteran filmmaker Toni Myers, whose earlier efforts include “Blue Planet” (1990), “Hubble 3D” (2010), and “Space Station 3D” (2002).

After a short greeting, introduction and Q&A session from Canada Embassy representative,                                        we jumped into the main event and the movie ' A Beautiful Planet ' is played.
The film is about 45 minutes long and during the film, we were so mesmerized by how great our earth is by looking it down through the spaceship.

However, those beautiful image actually has been destroyed by humanbeing.
The earth shows their aging, through the raising heat. The effects of global warming in the                           Arctic, or climate change in the Arctic include rising temperatures, loss of sea ice,                                                                and melting of the Greenland ice sheet

The needs for energy and our consumption is beyond the supply, we need new reliable energy. And about the energy, Canada and many leading countries has started to use more solar energy for a better world ahead.
We can start from ourselves by doing simple things but it really matter to mother-Earth like turn off the electricity we don't use, minimalize the usage of solar.

Thank you so much Change.Org for having me during the event 😀
Do watch a clip of the movie at this link:
